L2 Gas Tracker Research
L2 Gas Tracker Research is the research desk behind every guide and every number on L2 Gas Tracker. It is a branded editorial persona, not a single individual — the site publishes as one desk so readers can hold one identity accountable for the content instead of chasing anonymous posts.
How the numbers are sourced
- Gas prices come straight from public blockchain RPC endpoints using the
eth_feeHistorymethod — the same data your wallet sees. No proprietary models, no scraped third parties. - ETH price uses the CoinGecko API, cross-checked against Chainlink oracle feeds on Base and Arbitrum.
- Fee examples in guides are real transaction receipts from daily use of Base and Arbitrum, logged over months. When a number is an estimate, the guide says so.
- Live data refreshes every 10 seconds in the browser; crawlable build-time snapshots live at /data/base-latest.json and /data/arbitrum-latest.json.
Editorial standards
Guides are written from first-hand experience with the apps mentioned (Uniswap, GMX, Aave, bridges). Affiliate links, where present, are marked rel="sponsored" and never determine what we recommend — if a free official bridge beats a paid one, the guide says so. Nothing on this site is financial advice.
